Privacy Policy for Geeks Battle

Last Updated: September 14, 2025

Introduction

Welcome to Geeks Battle ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. By using the application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our service to you:

  • Player Information: We collect the name you provide when you create or join a contest.
  • Contest Data: We store the configuration of the contests you create, including the subject, difficulty, number of questions, and language. This data is used to generate the trivia questions.
  • Game Results: We collect and store your answers and scores for each contest you participate in to display leaderboards and final results. This data is associated with the player name you provided for that specific contest.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage trivia contests.
  • To allow players to join contests using a unique code.
  • To track scores and display results at the end of a contest.
  • To monitor and analyze usage to improve the user experience.

The trivia questions are generated by an AI model (such as Google's Gemini). The contest subject, difficulty, language, and number of questions are sent to this service for this purpose. No personal player information is sent to the AI model.

Data Storage

All contest data, including player names, scores, and configurations, is stored in a Firebase Firestore database. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no security system is impenetrable.

Data Retention

We retain contest data for a period to allow users to view results. We may periodically delete old contest data from our database.

Children's Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
